Organizers build campus coalitions…

At universities across the country, the UCGH builds global health coalitions. Each coalition serves as an umbrella organization for pre-existing university groups, academic centers and faculty working on global health related issues.

To learn more about UCGH Campus Coalitions, visit our UCGH Campus Organizers Guide section.

As a Campus Organizer you’ll have the chance to…

  • Bring together all of the global health players on your campus – student organizations, professors, research centers, administration, etc.
  • Create a space for collaboration and partnership
  • Be in regular communication with the UCGH Outreach Fellow
  • Participate in national advocacy and professional development working group calls with the UCGH National Member Organizations
  • Serve as a liaison between the university and larger global health community by representing coalition interests at the national level
  • Arrange meetings, events, call-in days, speakers, etc.
  • Create a university-wide calendar and/or listserv to publicize events on campus
  • Work with college officials to create new global health research, internship and fellowship opportunities on campus
  • Organize a university-wide awareness day around a global health issue
  • Mobilize the university to take action on global health issues
